In the last 120 years, cars have impacted in the daily life of the people in almost every society, especially in occident societies. We can see the streets full of cars in big and small cities, and this view is more common passing the years. A typical example that evidences this situation is the traffic that is caused in the peak time, and that is a consequence of the high rate of people driving in cars.

Cars have the capacity to move a group of people to different places in a short time. A lot of families need a car to transport their children to school, to the doctor or for them to go to their place of work. This represents an advantage of cars, as they can reduce the time for travel when is necessary.

However, the increase of cars in the streets has produced a rising in the air contamination’s levels, generating more respiratory problems in the population. Furthermore, the use of cars has influenced in the sedentary life, as people prefer to transport in those means more than in bikes, or even walk to take public transport.

In addition to the last point, the high use of cars has made more dangerous the streets. While there are more cars driving, the probability of accidents is higher, so people prefer to not drive in bikes for their safety.

As a conclusion, we can say that cars are necessary in particular situations, but the unnecessary use of them is really damaging for ourselves.

The conquest of the territory of Chile by the spanish men in XVI centruary, and later the foundation of Chile as a nation and an independent state has developed a lot of problems to the indigean population in the territory. One of them, the Mapuches, resisted to the both processes and actually the State recognized Mapuches as an autonomous; but in 1861 didn't respect the deals between the them and started the campain called "Pacification of Araucanía", which took away the lands of the native people. Today, this problem is still present, and far from disappear, the Mapuche people have been resisting and reivindicationg their territories.

Diversity in society is something that should be valued. Many countries have been affected by an increasing arrival of inmigrants, and in general, the local population have been seeing those foreign people as a bad influence for their society. However, these inmigrants can contribute with their own traditions and enrich the local culture, bringing a different perspective and helping to understand the differences in the societies. The people that live in a place with lots of cultural manifestations have more awareness of the particularities of each culture, so they can empathize with the differences that they present and understand that all kind of lifes are equally valuable. This allows in the respect for every culture, and decreases the probability of racism or xenofobism attacks in the territory. We have to consider that all rights are human rights, independing of the originating culture, whereby the valorization of the diversity helps to increase this respect.
